About the film

Thirty-five years ago, on 21 September 1991, Armenia gained its independence through a nationwide referendum. About a month later, the people elected Levon Ter-Petrosyan, a member of the "Karabakh" Committee, President of the Republic of Armenia by an absolute majority of votes.

The film by famous journalist Tigran Paskevichyan tells the story of President Levon Ter-Petrosyan's remarkable contribution to the establishment of independent Armenia in its early years.

On 16 October 2026, the 35th anniversary of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's first election, Factum Documentary Center and Antares Media Holding have the honour to invite you to the screening of the documentary film "From Science to State: Outlines of a Political Portrait".
