The fourth film in the “Coming Full Circle” project “Rules of Biography: Altai, 60 Years Later,” examines the legacy of approximately 13,000 Armenians exiled from the Armenian SSR to the Altai region on June 14, 1949, including 1,578 newly arrived repatriates. The documentary explores where these Armenians settled, their relationships with local Russians and other nationalities, and the recollections of elderly residents in the Zarinsk and Zalesovo districts. Through a series of interviews, the film captures the stories of Armenian exiles, interwoven with reflections on the filmmakers’ own youth and the challenging times they collectively endured.
